Endoscopic Brow Lift
Toronto

Elevate a descended brow and open the upper periorbital frame — using small scalp incisions and an endoscope. No coronal scar.

Why the Brow Matters

The brow is the frame of the upper face — and when it descends, it compounds every other sign of periorbital ageing. A descended brow adds to upper eyelid hooding, narrows the vertical dimension of the eye, and creates a heavy, fatigued appearance that upper blepharoplasty alone cannot fully correct.

The endoscopic brow lift elevates the brow to its anatomically appropriate position using small (5mm) scalp incisions, releasing the periosteal attachments that hold the brow down and securing the elevated tissue in its correct position. No coronal incision. No hairline alteration. No visible scar.

Combined with Blepharoplasty

The endoscopic brow lift and upper blepharoplasty address adjacent but distinct anatomical problems. Brow lift elevates the frame; blepharoplasty removes excess skin within the eyelid itself. Performing both in the same operative session — when both are indicated — produces a more complete and natural result than either alone.

Critically, performing upper blepharoplasty on a patient with unrecognised brow ptosis removes skin that the face needs once the brow descends further — creating an eyelid that is too short. Diagnosing brow ptosis before upper blepharoplasty is a core clinical skill of oculofacial surgery.

Assessed at Consultation

Whether brow descent is contributing to your upper eyelid appearance — and whether a brow lift is indicated — is assessed at every upper eyelid consultation with Dr. Gill.
